Mindful Making Workshop 2019
The Winterwares Mindful Making workshop series is inspired by the need to slow down and step away from the busyness of our day to day lives. My aim is to give you the experience of meditation through movement. When your hands are busy your mind naturally becomes quiet and calm. We’ll spend a day slowing down and being in the moment with your hands in the clay to create your own bowl. You’ll make a beautiful ceramic piece that you’ll get years of use from. A bowl that you can use everyday as reminder to enjoy your daily rituals.
The workshop runs from 10am to 2pm, in the Winterwares studio at Stackwood, 10 Stack Street, Fremantle. Including all materials and a vegetarian lunch.
Simone does the firing and glazing after the workshop and your completed pieces will be ready to collect within 3–4 weeks. Tickets are non-refundable, though you can transfer to a friend if you can’t make it.
“Thank you so much for sharing your space, skills and calming personality with us all! I had a wonderful time and felt great afterwards. There were some super lovely people in the workshop too, and it’s a wonderful feeling when you walk away from having met strangers thinking that you’ve met someone who you’d love to stay in touch with” Lauren
